- POSITION SUMMARY
The primary function of this position is to perform the sales of solutions, by actively prospecting, acquiring and closing new businesses, using various combinations of the Lectra’s broad products and services.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote Lectra's Vision: Increase the awareness of our brands in the market through regular visits to accounts and by leveraging a deep understanding of apparel production workflows (spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing).
- Consultative Selling:
- Ensure the proposed solutions align with customer needs and drive satisfaction.
- Understand customer strategies, anticipate challenges, and create engagement to generate Industry 4.0 needs.
- Expand opportunities by identifying and uncovering unknown customer needs.
- Sales Cycle Management: Manage the cycle of high-value and technological sales, including industrial equipment, software, services, training, consulting, and maintenance contracts.
- Detect and qualify opportunities in cooperation with the marketing team.
- Define solutions based on customer needs, present and demonstrate Lectra's solutions in collaboration with the Presales Team.
- Prepare quotations, draft proposals, negotiate, and close deals in compliance with Lectra's standards.
- Achieve Sales Objectives: Exceed sales targets by developing business through a constant pipeline built with assigned accounts.
- Client Development: Manage over 100 clients, focusing on prospecting and ROI optimization consulting to drive sales.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned by superiors.
- PROFILE
We are looking for ambitious and curious B2B sales executives with a passion for innovation and a growth-driven mindset. Our ideal candidate will have the following profile:
- Deep understanding of apparel production workflows (spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing) from industry exposure.
- Ability to leverage technical knowledge to align software/hardware solutions (e.g., ERP, IoT-enabled sewing machines, AI AGV systems) with customer needs.
- 8+ years of experience selling smart manufacturing equipment (e.g., automated cutting systems, MES platforms) to mid-large apparel companies.
- Consistently exceeded annual sales quotas with a strong proven track record.
- Ability to prioritize actions to maximize account coverage and value.
- Experience in customer value proposition and engaging customers through consultative selling methodologies.
- Ability to understand customer strategies, challenges, and processes, and build tailored solutions.
- Strong communication skills, diplomatic, tactful, and capable of adopting a trusted advisor role.
- Outstanding listening skills to understand customer objectives and desired outcomes.
- Ability to convince prospects to accept offers and close deals effectively.
- Good command of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Fluency in English is required.

- The position is based in Shanghai.
- The role requires 60% travel to customer sites.
