- POSITION SUMMARY
With the launch of our new Industry 4.0 offers for garment manufacturers, we are looking to expand our expertise and coordination capacity in the Asia Pacific region. You will be in charge of launch coordination, pre-sales, and some implementation, starting with pilot sites with some of our strategic customer accounts.
You will be the local relay in the launch of our disruptive manufacturing technology, demonstrating quantified benefits, and ensuring user adoption. You will work closely with our sales team, regional coordinator, Lectra agents in some countries, and corporate teams in France.
Ideally, you have a background in manufacturing, love new technology, and have prior experience leading process transformation in an existing organization. You enjoy travelling and working across Asia-Pacific (Thailand, Sri Lanka, India...) and working in English. You are familiar with IT technology and data analysis.
You will enjoy significant autonomy, and will need to quickly develop your personal network, and learn to internalize the company expectations in terms of process, transparency, and strategic alignment.
You are a good team player, and enjoy a company culture focused on collaboration and team success. You are comfortable taking the lead when you know that your colleagues have your back. You can work across silos, and engage people that do not report to you.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pre-sales activities: in support of the sales executives, engage with prospects and users of existing Lectra solutions, to understand their current processes and pain points, map out a desired future state using Lectra solutions, execute or coordinate benchmarks and trials, and articulate the quantified and non-quantified benefits.
- Project manager: coordinate internal and customer stakeholder though trials and implementation projects, ensuring proper engagement, preparing and leading steering committee reviews, and following up on open issues, with the support of the regional coordinator and the headquarter support teams. As the team grows, support additional resources to become autonomous.
- Business Consulting: understand the customer’s strategic objectives, needs and pain points. Articulate Lectra’s contribution to their business performance, define quantified project objectives, ensure customer adhesion, and then coordinate activities to meet these objectives.
- Solution expertise: quickly become the local expert on Lectra Industry 4.0 solutions for the cutting room. Additionally, become proficient with Lectra adjacent solutions (cutting machines, CAD...) Quickly become capable of qualifying a problem or situation, reaching out to the right experts, and coordinating efforts to reach a desired state.
- Customer Success: Hand-over projects to the respective teams, and provide ad-hoc support.
- EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree with major in software, manufacturing, or automation
- 5+ years of working experience in the manufacturing or software industry, including managing projects across multiple, globally dispersed work teams, and working abroad.
- Experience in customer-facing role.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent English. Other SEA languages are a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills - ability to interface with all levels of the organization, from the C-level to the operator. Capable of influencing decision makers and managing expectations.

- Performance-driven, with a good track record of delivering on commitments, and a growth mindset.
- Capacity to develop relationships across national and cultural boundaries.
- TRAVEL
The position is based in Shanghai. You are expected to hold a passport allowing you to travel around the region, including PR China and Taiwan.
There will be up to 60-70% of travel to customer sites
