- Position Summary:
The Pre Sales Consultant plays a pivotal role in driving the success of Lectra's solutions by identifying and addressing the specific needs of prospects and customers. With a focus on manufacturing technology, including the launch of Industry 4.0 solutions for garment manufacturers, this role involves working closely with the Sales team to demonstrate the value of our products through compelling presentations, demos, and trials.
You will be responsible for qualifying opportunities, developing business cases, and ensuring smooth project handover to delivery teams. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing, a passion for new technologies, and experience in process transformation within organizations. Fluency in English and the ability to work autonomously while building strong customer relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams are essential to this role.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Qualify the opportunities and define the proposals to answer customer needs in collaboration with the account manager, from the beginning of the pre-sales stage for Valia Fashion until the end of the negotiation;
- Work closely with customers to understand and capture their requirements, and to identify their main expected outcomes;
- Design and Demonstrate the value proposition of our solutions and convince the customer through preparation and delivery of outstanding presentations, demos, trials and benchmarks;
- Put together business cases with the account managers to support the proposals, including payback analysis and added value that will bring the solution to the customers’ business;
- Ensure the handover of the project to delivery teams;
- Analyze competitors’ ecosystem and solutions.

- EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor degree in Textile engineering, IT or related area will be required;
- 5 years or above working experience will be a minimum, with direct relevant sales or pre sales, consultancy or industrial experience in Fashion, ideally covering similar market as Lectra’s offer.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills: Ability to effectively communicate and present ideas to various audiences in a compelling and engaging manner.
- English proficiency is a must
- Strong understanding of business needs, with the ability to provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations to drive organizational success.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while also taking initiative when necessary.
- Ability to quickly absorb new information, adapt to changing circumstances, and continuously develop skills and knowledge.
- Prior project management experience or PMP certification is advantageous for the role.
- Commitment to high standards, continuous improvement, and the pursuit of excellence in all areas of work.
- TRAVEL:
The position is based in Shanghai
There will be 70% of travel to customer sites focus on Greater China
