Field Service Engineer

 

POSITION TITLE:               Field Service Engineer     

POSITION REPORTS TO:         Field Service Manager

DEPARTMENT:                  Customer Success

LOCATION:                 Ningbo, China

POSITION SUMMARY

The mission of the Field Service Engineer is to deliver all CAM related field services to customers mainly in whole Greater China. The goal is to ensure the service delivered meets and exceeds Lectra standard, ensure customers are satisfied, hence contract is renewed. Additionally, the engineer indirectly contributes to recurring business development in the same region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Installation of CAD/CAM equipments
    • Assure the connection and the parameter adjustment of the equipments
    • Assure the new equipments trail and the smooth running
    • Assure to solve the problems effectively and make preventive maintenances according to service contract
    • Good control on the quality of the resolution
    • Provide qualified training to our customers on how to use the equipments
    • Initial training for the customers to assure that they can solve the basic problems
    • Provide the basic training on how to maintain the equipments
    • Collect all information from the customers and analyze the work to be nothing neglected
    • Collect and bring back RETURN parts (not used ones) and the BROKEN parts
    • Pass the service report to Service Administrator immediately in the same day for closing service order
    • Assure to finish with good quality the other tasks given by the order

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Diploma on electronics, electrical and/or mechanical engineering
    • 2 years or above experience as field service engineer
    • Able to read, write and speak English, as all technical materials are written in English and technical support from France is in English as well.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering. Capability to analyze, describe and solve technical issues.  
    • Computer literate (Microsoft environment: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Able to cope with constant pressure (without compromising standards) by being well organized and planning time well;
    • Able to work independently, have team-work spirit
    • Good customer care mindset

 

TRAVEL:

  • The position is based in Ningbo.
  • Intensive travel in China
