Position Summary
The Solution Consultant is a key contributor in implementing Lectra’s solutions for customers through deliverable training of our Valia software. Valia is a cloud-based platform developed by Lectra to digitize and automate apparel production workflows. It connects every stage of production—from order processing to cutting—while improving agility, sustainability, and cost efficiency. The Solution Consultant consults with customers and proposes solutions based on in-depth industry and product knowledge. The Solution Consultant thoroughly understands the capabilities of Lectra solutions and the benefits customers can realize by implementing those solutions. The successful candidate will function as a trusted advisor to the customer and should be intimately familiar with typical Engineering and Manufacturing workflows.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Solution Consultant conducts an analysis of the customer needs, provides the solution, and delivers training to end-users, either remotely or on-site at the customers’ location. They will then assess competencies for Lectra software solutions. The Solution Consultant designs workshops to address issues or to identify potential improvements (productivity, yield, performance, quality, etc.)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Industrial Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science / related area is required. Master’s degree is a strong plus.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a solution consultant or technical training specialist in a related industrial equipment environment is required. Five years’ experience is strongly preferred, including previous Lectra equipment experience.
- Ability to read, write and speak English is required, as all technical materials and technical support from France are in English. Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Industry knowledge in Fashion, Automotive, or Furniture, in terms of strategy, business evolutions & challenges and common operational issues is preferred
- Strong understanding of design-to-manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, pattern making, and digital prototyping.
- Proven experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Lectra, Gerber).
- Capability to share and transfer relevant knowledge to satisfy customer needs, both in terms of technical & tactical skills
- Capability to define and manage the business goals and scope of change initiatives
- Capability to investigate, evaluate, analyse and classify data
- Familiar with CNC cutting, robotics applications, and software applications dedicated to fashion, furniture or automotive industries, and has a strong working knowledge of the product process within this industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of process analysis skills to work with senior level decision makers
- Knowledge of ERP Integration / APIs or equivalent is an advantage
- Ability to cope with pressure (without comprising standards) by being well organized with strong time management skills.
- Solid organizational skills, a team player, with good business acumen.
- Good critical thinking, reasoning, evaluating (profitability/risk), problem solving, decision making, analysing.
- Adaptability to various situations, cultures, and technical environments.
TRAVEL
- The position is regionally based in Atlanta, GA.
- Position includes ~75% travel per month to customer sites within the US and North America, as well as Lectra offices.
